The School Day

Nursery

Time Event Details

8:45am – 11:45am

Morning Session
11:45am – 12:15pm Lunch Time Provision  Lunch is not provided
12:15pm – 3:15pm Afternoon Session

We are able to offer extended and flexible provision and hours in excess of the free 15 hours entitlement
are charged at £3.60 per hour.

Reception (Foundation Stage)

Time Event Details

Family Project
Breakfast Club
Extended provision for the morning. Spaces can be secured via the booking system. Breakfast is provided and children enjoy various activities. See our Family Project page.
8:50am –
9:00am
Morning Registration  Parents and children are welcome into class during this time where there will be books and activities available to share before the start of the school day. School registers close at 9:20am and children arriving after this time will be marked late.
Morning Break  Due to the nature of the Foundation Stage there is no fixed break time.
11:50am –
12:50pm
Lunch During the lunch period, children have access to a variety of clubs and activities which provide valuable opportunities to extend learning further.  See our clubs page for more details.
12:50pm – 1:00pm Afternoon Registration School registers close at 1:20pm and children arriving after this time will be marked late.
3:20pm End of Day  It is important for FS pupils that a designated adult is at school for the end of the day.  If you have asked someone else to pick up your child please ensure they have first been introduced to your child’s teacher and fill in the class ‘going home’ book. This is a good time to speak with your child’s class teacher.
3:20pm onwards After School Clubs We have a wide variety of school clubs that children are able to access after school.  These provide fun and exciting opportunities to extend learning further.  See our clubs page for details.
3:20pm – 6:00pm Family Project
After School Club
 Extended provision for the afternoon. Spaces can be secured via the booking system. A healthy snack is provided and children enjoy various activities. See our Family Project page.

Assembly  Assemblies are presented in various formats – whole school assemblies, key stage singing assemblies, class assemblies and celebration or family group assemblies. As a Church of England School, each assembly contains an element of worship.
3:20pm End of Day  It is important for KS1 pupils that a designated adult is at school for the end of the day.  If you have asked someone else to pick up your child please ensure they have first been introduced to your child’s teacher and fill in the class ‘going home’ book.

Parental permission for Upper KS2 children to walk or cycle home alone must be submitted to the school office at the beginning of the half term for which permission is granted, along with confirmation contingency arrangements.  Please ensure children have the necessary safety wear if they are cycling to or from school.
