Empowering Children at Bluecoat

During Empowerment Day at the end of March, all of the children across Chapter 2 and 3 joined together to make classes of different ages to work on building their self-esteem and celebrating their individuality. Easter Service

Chapter 2 & 3 attended St. Michael’s Church for the annual Easter Service. The church was ringing once again with the very enthusiastic singing and many children took part in leading prayers and presenting Easter readings. Reaching Out to Romania

In celebration of Epiphany, Bluecoat held their annual Toy Service on 23rd January. The fruit of the Spirit ‘Kindness’ was very much in evidence as the children donated a record amount of toys to be sent to children in various schools and orphanages in Romania.

Christingle 2018

After a last minute change of venue due to the yellow weather warning, the children of Years 1 ,2 and 3 presented their Christingle service in the Bluecoat Hall. Once again this very special service drew in a large crowd of parents and friends to hear the children sing a selection of Christmas songs to celebrate Jesus’ birth.

Autumn Multi-Skills

During the last week of this October half term, children from Years one and two attended GTS to take part in an Autumn Multi-skills Festival. Ridiculous Rhyme Show

Let’s be active – Tennis at Bluecoats!

For the last two years the Atlantic Racquet Centre’s Tennis Superstars project has delivered free Tennis to over 900 children in local schools and has seen a further 120 of them access tennis at ARC as a result. Following this success, Bluecoat C of E Primary School was offered the chance to be part of the fantastic project this summer.

Empowerment Day

On Friday 9th March, pupils and staff took part in the school’s annual Empowerment Day. Now in its second year, the day is designed to promote a culture of inclusion celebrating the uniqueness of every child, ensuring that all children understand diversity recognising the need to respect one another regardless of ability, gender, age, race or creed.
